Brian Woodland, President

Brian Woodland founded and has been the President of Huntwicke Capital Group, Inc., since November of 2016. Mr. Woodland has also founded and served as President for Huntwicke Securities, LLC, a FINRA-member firm, since 2009 and Huntwicke Advisors, LLC an SEC-registered investment advisory from 2006-2018, which merged with Essex Financial Advisors, Inc., to become Essex Private Wealth Management, LLC. Mr. Woodland was a Senior Vice President at Smith Barney from 2000-2006, working to manage portfolios for individuals and small institutions. Mr. Woodland joined Cowen and Company in 1996 as a Vice President, where he worked closely with trading desks, research analysts, private clients and portfolio managers. Mr. Woodland began his career in financial services working for Olde Financial in 1993, becoming assistant branch manager in 1995. Mr. Woodland has also developed and acquired various commercial properties during his career, an interest that began while working for First Winthrop, Inc., the nation's largest acquirer and syndicator of commercial real estate, in 1992-93.

 

Mr. Woodland graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a BA degree in Business/ Finance in 1993.
